Asparagus Spears- SOLD

Asparagus spears are a bit of a challenge. Those scales are hard to simplify into brush strokes that read correctly, the tendency being to tightly render them. At least it is my tendency. But I love the purples and greens in this vegetable and don't you find it wonderful that the band that binds the spears is always purple!

You did a great job with this challenging subject! I like the subtle greenish reflection in the table top, that's one little detail that you don't notice right away, but really adds alot!
