I'm wrapping up my blog for 2014 and posting the last two paintings of the year, both commissions.  Production was very lean last year with a total of seven paintings. It is now February 2015 and my studio is getting a reorganization to inspire me to get busy and paint! Moving my office out of the painting area will give me more room for multiple easels and rid me of office distractions when I'm in the "zone".  Life continues to throw me many distractions but I have to push through and it's now or never to make it happen. Wish me the best, I need it!

The wild plum painting was a commission for dear friends, Dan and Fredia Alexander, whose lovely estate in south Georgia produces many wonderful crops and garden foods, but finding a wild plum tree in the woods was a delightful surprise for them. Fredia made this delicious jelly from the golden plums and she sent me a jar to share and to paint for them. What better companion than biscuits!
