Cut Pear and Peach

"Cut Pear and Peach"

5"x 7" Oil on board. $80. + $8 s&h

Backyard pears are abundant and I have taken multiple photos of multiple set ups. This is the first fruit still life I've done in a while in my more realistic style and I have to say that I enjoyed being back in my comfort zone. I'm dedicating this painting to Dave - you know who you are : )

This is a beautiful composition. I love the reflection in the bowl. I definitely know what you mean about realism being a comfort zone. I try to venture away and end up going back.

You paint the best peaches! I also like the reflections in the metal too.

Lovely Marilyn...that peach looks so fuzzy and the pear so fresh!
